Run, the first book in this YA zombie apocalypse novel trilogy by Gabby Tye, is a turn-the-page thriller. I loved it... and I don't do zombie!
I Am Still Alive is a YA novel (which I didn't realize until I was well into it) about a girl who's lost everything and has to go live with her estranged father literally in the middle of the wilderness in Canada. There are no roads or cars... only a plane that shows up occasionally to get in and out.
Inheritance: A Memoir of Genealogy, Paternity, and Love by Dani Shapiro is a book about self discovery. When Shapiro, in her fifties, discovers that the father who raised her was not her biological father, she tail spins into an identity crisis. This is a story that delves deeply into identity, who we are and what makes us us.
I don't read many YA books anymore, which means I don't write many YA books reviews. Although I used to read quite a few and still really enjoy them. But lately they haven't been on my radar. However, my book club decided to read The Gatekeepers. And so I've got to write a ya books review! Here it is!
