How To Cut an Onion Without Crying
You see… I’ve tried all the tricks.
I googled how to cut an onion without crying. The tips and tricks are pretty ridiculous and so unhelpful!
You’ve probably seen and heard tips for cutting an onion with no tears like these 7 tips:
- Use a sharp knife. (Really?)
- Cut the onion from the opposite side of the root tip.
- Cut really fast. (I’m not a chef, people!)
- Use your vent hood.
- Turn the cut sides away from you.
- Make sure the onion is really cold… refrigerate it.
- Cut the onion properly. (I literally saw this as a tip. Cut it “properly?” And by that, they mean like a chef! See tip #3.)
